2024 YEAR IN REVIEW

Dear Church Family,

Love Jesus. Journey together. Bring hope. These are not just empty words we post on the walls of our lobby. This is the life of WoodsEdge! As I reflect on 2024, I think about all the ways these simple statements have become reality in the past year. It has been an incredible year! We have so much to be thankful for! God has been so good to us.

More has happened this year than I could possibly list. But here are a few highlights:

  • Our prayer service continues to amaze me. So many testimonies of healing and breakthrough!
  • We began a new season of ministry as one church in multiple languages as WoodsEdge en Español moved into the Pavilion and began to grow.
  • WoodsEdge staff and mission teams brought hope around the world in places like Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Bolivia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Germany, and more.
  • We supported 6 new international church plants, plus 467 new house churches.
  • The Hope Center food pantry serves more than 300 families per week and expanded to offer job skills training and legal immigration assistance.
  • We have more people journeying together in community groups than we ever have.
  • We celebrated 48 commencements in our re:generation recovery ministry. Incredible life change!
  • Our kids raised over $24,000 this summer to help drill water wells in Haiti.
  • On our August Baptism Sunday, we baptized 82 people, more than we ever have in one day.
  • The Remnant Conference in October was one of the most powerful worship experiences I’ve ever seen at WoodsEdge. So many people experienced breakthroughs.

None of this happens without you. Because of your faithful giving, God’s work through WoodsEdge continues and expands. Your consistent, sacrificial generosity is humbling to me. I am so grateful!

At the end of every year, I ask you to prayerfully consider a special gift above and beyond your regular giving. Would you pray that the Lord would lead you this year?

I’m excited about what lies ahead. God is calling us deeper as a church. He’s given us a vision for church planting both in English and in Spanish. We remain committed to the goal of revival and awakening in our city. We want to see Houston become a city of God!

WoodsEdge, I am so honored to serve as your pastor. You have been such a blessing to Gayle and me over these 31 years. We love you so much!
