A team of 16 headed to Casa Aleluya in Guatemala over Thanksgiving break for a short-term family mission trip. WoodsEdge has partnered with Casa and a local ministry partner, Take Heart Missions, through family mission trips for 10 years. This trip is a wonderful way to serve with your family or alongside families!
Here are just a few snapshots and highlights of the week:
We heard testimonies and shared testimonies!
We were prayed for and prayed for others!
We delivered food, water filters, prayed for and encouraged a local church and community.
We worshiped alongside the children and adults at Casa for Sunday morning service and Wednesday night service! Services were held around a campfire, with worship and s'mores for all!
We painted and replaced a ceiling in two classrooms.
We cheered on the boys in a local soccer game and were a part of the kids receiving bicycles for each dorm!
We had little Christmas parties with ornaments, “reindeer games” and a traveling Nativity Story production for all the dorms.
We painted faces, held babies, hugged, prayed, and encouraged their local missionaries and staff.
